Mentoring for Teenagers allows them the opportunity to open up in a safe and non-judgemental environment. They can discuss topics they feel uncomfortable discussing with their parents, teachers or friends. They have the opportunity to explore their options, put things in perspective and understand their emotions.
Teenagers are very good at hiding their true feelings, emotions and wellbeing. By closing these doors of communication with there loved ones, often feeling alone and isolated. They feel stressed, Anxious and unsure of their future and left to their own devices will lead to depression and suffering.
Teenagers feel that parents, teachers and friends are all putting them under pressure and they don’t see a way out of this.
That’s where Mentoring allows them to rediscover themselves, without any of these pressures. They learn who they are, where they want to go and how to reconnect with others.
They will set goals, organise routines and be more confident and sure of themselves. They will see that living a more balanced life, and being who they want to be will allow them to make good decisions, be happy and successful now and in the future.
Mentoring is done in a one on one private session. Each session will last for 45mins. The first session will be a get to know your teenager and then from there we will identify the progression of future session and requirements. This will be different for each person depending upon the client’s needs.
Effective mentoring. Is a relationship that focuses on the needs of the mentee.
